Welcome Willow & Wilma, our classic bulbs with a new, unique Milky finish that makes their filaments float magically in thin air. Switched off, their striking silhouettes create pieces of art in their own right. But switched on, delicate floating filaments appear, creating a mysterious optical illusion and an enchanted glow on surroundings.
A LIGHT BULB WITH MAGICAL POWERS
There’s some hidden magic in the new Willow and Wilma bulbs. Concealed behind their Milky glass, the inner workings can’t be seen, resulting in beautiful sculptures when the light is off. Turn the light on and the magic starts. A delicate crown of light appears, casting a soft glow.
A LIGHT FOR RELAXING
With a calming, diffused, warm white light, akin to that of an incandescent, the Milky bulbs are ideal for spaces requiring gentle, relaxing light such as bedrooms, living rooms, bars and restaurants. With an output of just 250 Lumen, the bulbs create the perfect light for relaxed, slower paced living.
FORM & FUNCTION
As with all Plumen bulbs, the Milky Willow & Wilma are designed as pieces of art that don’t require a shade. Their unique filament construction is carefully set inside a beautifully proportioned cut globe, resulting in a striking and harmonious design, where the glowing filament is suspended in a void of white space. Exploiting all the benefits of modern LED technology, the bulbs are also dimmable and, with a lifespan of over 15,000 hours, designed to last for up to fifteen years.
ART BECOMES LIGHT. LIGHT BECOMES ART.
Designed as a pair, Willow and Wilma’s silhouettes hang harmoniously in series or clusters, creating striking chandeliers.
RE-CAPTURING THE LOST MAGIC OF LIGHT BULBS
During the switch from incandescent to LED technology, many people think some of the magic of the incandescent was lost, leaving LEDs with the undeserved reputation for being a lesser bulb. While advances over the last few years have left little doubt that LED is better than incandescent in almost every regard, we’ve always been looking for ways to re-capture this missing spark, putting an end to any remaining argument not to switch to LED lighting. The new Milky finish in our Willow and Wilma bulbs is the latest step in our quest to convert the world to LED technology through beautiful design.
